Lorain, Ohio – United Way of Greater Lorain County launched an impactful online fundraising campaign
called Together on $10, running from Monday, July 17 to Friday, July 28. Utilizing social media platforms
such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, the campaign aims to raise awareness about local
statistics, share inspiring resident stories, and showcase collaborative efforts driving positive change in
Greater Lorain County. The campaign encourages individuals to contribute at least a $10 donation and
invites them to ask ten friends to do the same.
Funds raised through Together on $10 will support United Way’s Community Collaboratives and Impact
Initiatives across the focus areas of health, education, and financial stability.
Colleen Walts, marketing and engagement director at United Way of Greater Lorain County, emphasizes
the significance of this unique fundraiser, stating, “By donating at least $10 and asking ten friends to
join, we can extend our reach and create a meaningful difference for those in need. Every contribution
matters, enabling us to address critical local support services such as 2-1-1 and free tax preparation.
Imagine the impact we can achieve when every person in Greater Lorain County gives $10 towards these
vital initiatives.”
The goal of Together on $10 is to reach out to 1,000 individuals, appealing for at least a $10 donation
